TASKS AHEAD!

CHENNAI LIMPING BACK TOWARDS
DISTANT NORMALCY

NCCPA OFFICE BEARERS TO MEET WITH PRESIDENT SHIV GOPAL MISHRA

OBSERVANCE OF PENSIONERS DAY ON 17.12.2015

Being a resident of Chennai City my mind is not yet ready to go away to other matters than the all-round devastation caused by the unprecedented rains of north east monsoon during the last fortnight. The rains has receded and the water level is also slowly receding and electricity supply is slowly being restored area after area; the city is limping back to normalcy very slowly. It may take many days to totally remove the water from thousands of houses.

However, as an organisation, AIPRPA has to concentrate other matters also. Therefore, i am bringing the following important issues to the notice of all comrades:

1. NCCPA Office Bearers Meeting: A meeting of some office bearers of NCCPA (National Coordination Committee of Pensioners Association) consisting of Comrades Shiv Gopal Mishra (President NCCPA); KKN.Kutty (Secretary General NCCPA); S.S.Roy (Working President NCCPA); Pavitra Ranjan Chakraborti (Dy.Secretary General); and K.Ragavendran (Dy.Secretary General) will be held on 8.12.2015 at about 3.00 P.M. in the JCM Office, New Delhi. If the Rajadhani Express scheduled on 6th December leaves Chennai then the General Secretary AIPRPA will go to Delhi for the above meeting. This meeting is to finalize the issues to be included in the memorandum to be submitted to the Government by the JCM Staff Side seeking modifications of the retrograde recommendations of 7th CPC. Therefore AIPRPA CHQ Office Bearers as well as State / District Secretaries are requested to immediately send emails to CHQ (aiprpachq@gmail.com) to take them into account by the General Secretary AIPRPA while discussing in 8th December meeting of NCCPA office bearers.

2. Pensioners Day: AIPRPA CHQ calls upon all State and District Secretaries to take action to organise "PENSIONERS DAY" on 17th December, 2015 to commemorate the historic judgment of D.S.Nakara case which was being diluted by some other judgments of Supreme Court in the later years and also by the 7th CPC, which is also coming to the conclusion that all Pensioners do not form a single Class. On elaboration this would naturally lead to the situation that full parity between the past and future pensioners will always remain a distant dream. Therefore 17th December 2015 should be observed by mobilising all our pensioners as well as by joining with other pensioners organisations to highlight the importance of Nakara Judgment and cementing our resolve to win full parity between the past and future pensioners as is the case with the Armed Forces Pensioners who have won their OROP (One Rank One Pension) through consistent struggles.

3. PENSIONERS POST: The journal of the AIPRPA CHQ is under preparation for print. The first issue will be a Pay Commission Special issue covering all important recommendations of Pay Commission and our critical analysis of them. The issue will be printed only as per the actual need and therefore all States are requested to immediately enroll subscribers and inform the General Secretary about their requirements urgently. The issue will be sent only to subscribers to avoid financial loss. The anual subscription is only 120/- and the amount may kindly be remitted by Money Order to General Secretary AIPRPA 2/44, Muthial Chetty Street, Purasawalkam, Chennai 600007 (TN).

Regards:
K.Ragavendran
General Secretary AIPRPA
