Sir

Sub: Treating the Pensioners on par with the Employees for accommodation in Holiday Homes run by DoP – regarding.

This CHQ of All India Postal & RMS Pensioners Association has repeatedly requested to end the discriminatory treatment meted out to Pensioners in the matter of allotment of accommodation in the Holiday Homes run by Postal Department. But unfortunately, the DoP did not come forward to end the discrimination in contrast to the action of Central Government. This CHQ requests the DoP to kindly refer to the minutes circulated by the DOPT vide its No.3/2/2022-JCA Dated 13.10.2022,wherein a similar subject raised by the Staff Side to treat the pensioner on par with the official on duty for guest house charges was answered in affirmative and copy of OM of Directorate of Estates treating the pensioners on par with the serving staff was supplied to the Staff Side also.

The action of the DoP vide its OM No.1/         1/2017-WL/Sports Dated 12.03.2019 perpetrating a discrimination to the Pensioners is not yet removed. The action of the DoP is against the policy of the Government decided in the National Council JCM. The JCM National Council has agreed to treat the pensioners on par with the serving employees on duty for fixing charges in the guest houses of the Government.

This CHQ again reiterates for necessary correction in the OM of DoP so that the pensioners are not discriminated against and the same facilities on the same charges like that of the serving staff be fixed for allotting accommodation in the holiday homes run and maintained by the Postal Department throughout the country.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

Sd/-

General Secretary
